For instance say we were in a math class taking a midterm on what we learned for the first half of the semester, and instead of either passing with 70% or more you either pass or fail on how well you retained the info and if your work reflects that and what you got wrong, you would be able to redo and fully understand the material. Yet we are in a system that is either pass or fail and no answer to why.
On a side note I also think we need to have more expressive things in school, we need to stop cutting art programs, music programs, but that doesn't mean to cut sports. We need to find a middle ground where we can support all aspects of school and it's demographic's needs. We also need to be able to teach in all modes, visual, kinestetic, and auditory. We must hit all the bases for each one of these type of people. This would be my solutions to an oppressive educative system.
You have two really strong concepts here: narrative schools systems, creative outlets. Either insight can be turned into an essay focus. Good work!
